INGREDIENTS

1 cup
flour
1/2 cup
Fisher® Whole Almonds, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon
ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon
ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon
table salt
1/2 cup
(1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup
powdered sugar
2 teaspoons
almond extract

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Combine first 5 ingredients in medium bowl; set aside.
  2. Beat butter and powdered sugar in large bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in extract. Stir in flour mixture just until combined.
  3. Shape level tablespoons of dough into 36 balls. Arrange on cookie sheets 1 inch apart. Gently press 1 whole almond into center of each ball. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  4. Bake 16 to 18 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on pans 3 minutes. Remove to wire rack; cool completely.
