INGREDIENTS

1 can
(21 oz.) apple pie filling, strained
3/4 cup
chopped Fisher® Chef’s Naturals® Walnut Halves & Pieces
1/4 teaspoon
ground cinnamon
1 pkg.
(17 oz.) frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
1/4 cup
powdered sugar
2 teaspoons
milk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 375°F and prepare large cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  2. Combine pie filling, Fisher® Walnuts and cinnamon in medium bowl, breaking up apple pieces with rubber spatula while stirring.
  3. Roll out 1 pastry sheet to 11x11 inches on very lightly floured surface. Cut into 4 squares. Spoon ¼ cup apple mixture onto center of each square. Lightly brush water along edges, then fold in half diagonally. Seal edges with fork. Place on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining pastry and filling.
  4. Bake 20-25 minutes or until dry and golden brown. Cool on wire rack 15 minutes. Meanwhile, whisk powdered sugar and milk in small bowl to form a glaze. Drizzle over cooled turnovers

Tips

To attractively drizzle the glaze, spoon into a pastry bag or use a resealable plastic bag with 1 corner removed.
