INGREDIENTS

4 ounces
crumbled blue cheese
2 ounces
Fisher® Chopped Walnuts
1-1/2 pounds
lean ground beef

egg, beaten

whole-wheat hamburger buns
To taste
Lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes and sliced red onions, for serving

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine cheese and Fisher® Walnuts in small bowl.
  2. Mix meat and egg in separate bowl; season with salt and ground black pepper. Shape into 8 thin patties. Spoon cheese mixture onto 4 patties; top with second patty. Pinch edges together to seal.
  3. Cook burgers in skillet or on grill on medium heat 6-7 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F, turning occasionally. Let stand 5 minutes. Fill buns with lettuce, burgers, tomatoes and onions.
