yellow onions, halved, thinly sliced
2
carrots, cut into ¼-inch rounds
1/2 teaspoon
kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon
ground white pepper
4 ribs
celery, thinly sliced
12 slices
white sandwich bread
1 tablespoon
dried oregano
2 teaspoons
thinly sliced fresh sage
1 cup
chopped Fisher® Pecan Halves
1 cup
vegetable or chicken broth

DIRECTIONS
- Melt 2 tablespoons butter in large skillet. Add onions, carrots, salt and pepper. Cook on low heat 20-25 minutes or until caramelized and tender. Stir in celery; cook 2-3 minutes or until celery is crisp-tender. Remove from heat. Heat oven to 350°F.
- Meanwhile, toast bread in toaster. Lightly butter both sides with remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Cut into 1-inch squares and place in large bowl. Add oregano, sage, Fisher® Pecans and onion mixture. Mix gently. Add broth; mix gently until moistened. Spoon into greased 6-cup casserole dish. Cover with foil.
- Bake 20 minutes. Remove foil; bake an additional 10 minutes or until top is lightly browned and stuffing is heated through.
