INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup
(1 stick) butter, softened
1/4 cup
sugar
1 teaspoon
vanilla
1 cup
Fisher® Walnut Halves & Pieces, finely chopped
1 cup
cake flour
1/2 cup
multi-colored sprinkles

DIRECTIONS

  1. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light in color and creamy. Add vanilla; beat until very fluffy. Add chopped Fisher® Walnuts and flour; mix on low speed until blended. Stir in sprinkles by hand. Refrigerate dough 1 hour.
  2. Heat oven to 350°F. Shape dough into 24 balls. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheets 1 inch apart. Lightly press 1 walnut half into each ball.
  3. Bake 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on pans 10 minutes. Remove to wire rack; cool completely.

Tips

Substitute Fisher® Pecan Halves for the walnuts.
Prepare using different colored sprinkles depending on the holiday or occasion.
