INGREDIENTS

3 cups
flour
1 tablespoon
baking powder
1 teaspoon
table salt
1/2 cup
(1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1 cup
grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup
thinly sliced green onions
1/2 cup
chopped Fisher® Chef’s Naturals® Pecan Halves
1/4 teaspoon
freshly ground black pepper
4 slices
bacon, crisply cooked, drained and crumbled
1 cup
heavy cream

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Stir in cheese, onions, Fisher® Pecans, pepper and bacon. Add cream; stir just until dough comes together. Do not to overwork.
  2. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and press into a ball. Divide dough in half. Pat each half into a circle, about 7-inches in diameter and ¾-inch thick. Cut each circle into 8 wedges with sharp knife to create 16 scones. Place, 1 inch apart, on parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  3. Bake 22-23 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
