Bacon Wrapped Dates

Bacon-wrapped dates are the perfect appetizer for any cocktail party or special occasion. Take them one step further by stuffing each with a Fisher® Pecan Half then drizzling with nutty honey before serving.

INGREDIENTS

medium to large pitted dates

Fisher® Pecan Halves
1/4 cup
chopped Fisher® Pecan Halves
12 slices
bacon, halved widthwise
1/4 teaspoon
honey
2 tablespoons
red wine vinegar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Line rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  2. Pull open or cut dates lengthwise and insert 1 Fisher® Pecan Half into each. Season with pepper. Wrap tightly with a bacon strip. Place on prepared pan, seam-side down.
  3. Bake 20 minutes. Turn dates over and bake 5 minutes or until bacon is browned.
  4. Meanwhile, bring honey to boil in small skillet on medium heat. Carefully stir in vinegar. Cook on low heat 2-3 minutes. Stir in chopped nuts. Pour mixture over cooked dates on serving platter.
