INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup
chopped Fisher® Walnut Halves & Pieces
1/4 cup
brown sugar
2 tablespoons
raisins
1-1/2 teaspoons
butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon
ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon
vanilla
6 large
apples
2 tablespoons
maple syrup
3/4 cup
apple cider

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Combine Fisher® Walnuts, sugar, raisins, butter, cinnamon and vanilla in medium bowl.
  2. Cut apples in half lengthwise and use melon baller or spoon to remove cores. Remove stem. Spoon walnut mixture into centers of apples. Arrange in 13x9-inch baking pan. Drizzle with maple syrup. Pour apple cider into bottom of pan.
  3. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes or until apples are softened and cooked through. Drizzle with some of the cooking liquid before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
