DIRECTIONS

  1. Place ½ cup Fisher® Pecans in food processor; pulse until coarsely ground. Add 1-3/4 cups flour and salt; pulse to combine. Add ½ cup butter; pulse until mixture resembles pea-size pieces. Add water; pulse just until dough comes together. Shape dough into a disc, wrap in plastic and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  2. Meanwhile, heat remaining ¼ cup butter in large skillet on medium heat until butter begins to brown and smells nutty. Add apples, sugar and cinnamon. Cook until apples begin to soften, stirring occasionally. Stir in remaining 1 tablespoon flour. Remove from heat.
  3. Heat oven to 375°F. Roll out dough on well-floured surface to a large circle about ⅛-inch-thick. Transfer to cookie sheet. Spoon apple mixture onto dough, leaving 3-inch border. Arrange cheese wedges on top of apples; top with remaining ½ cup nuts. Fold edge of dough up and over the filling to form a rustic tart, pleating edge as needed. (Center of filling will be visible.)
  4. Bake 40-45 minutes or until crust is browned and apples are very tender.
