Horseradish & Walnut-Crusted Filet Mignon

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup
panko bread crumbs
1/4 cup
chopped Fisher® Walnut Halves & Pieces
2 tablespoons
mayonnaise
2 tablespoon
prepared horseradish or grated fresh horseradish root
1/4 teaspoon
dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon
table salt

beef filet mignon steaks (6 ounce)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat broiler. Combine all ingredients, except steaks, in small bowl.
  2. Heat large oven-proof skillet on high heat. Sear steaks 1 minute on each side. Cook on medium heat 4 minutes on each side or until internal temperature reaches 145°F. Top with bread crumb mixture.
  3. Broil about 1 minute or until crust is browned. Let stand 2 minutes before serving.
