INGREDIENTS

Crust:
3/4 cup
(1-1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1/4 cup
granulated sugar
1/4 cup
brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon
table salt
1
egg yolk
1 teaspoon
vanilla
2-1/4 cups
Fisher® Almond Flour
Filling:
1 can
(14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
6 tablespoons
butter, cut up
1/3 cup
brown sugar
2 tablespoons
light corn syrup
3/4 teaspoon
vanilla
1/8 teaspoon
table salt
Topping:
1 cup
bittersweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup
Fisher® Whole Almonds, coarsely chopped

DIRECTIONS

  1. For Crust:
  2. Heat oven to 350°F. Line bottom of 13x9-inch baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Beat butter, sugars and salt in large bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Scrape bowl then add egg yolk and vanilla. Beat until well blended. Add Fisher® Almond Flour; mix until well blended. Spread dough onto prepared pan.
  4. Bake 20-30 minutes or until top is lightly browned. Cool completely in pan.
  5. For Filling:
  6. Combine ingredients in large saucepan. Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook until temperature registers 225-230°F on thermometer, stirring constantly until caramel thickens and begins to pull away from side of pan. Pour over cooled crust, spreading evenly with rubber spatula. Refrigerate until chilled.
  7. For Topping:
  8. Microwave chocolate in small bowl on 50% power in 30 second intervals, stirring after each until completely melted. Spread over cooled caramel layer. Sprinkle with nuts. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into 12 bars.
