Walnut & Jalapeno Cheese Ball

INGREDIENTS

1 pound
cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon
lime juice
1 teaspoon
each onion powder, garlic powder, and ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon
smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon
ground black pepper
8 ounces
shredded aged cheddar cheese
1/4 cup
finely chopped red bell peppers
1
jalapeño pepper, seeded, finely chopped
1 cup
Fisher® Chopped Walnuts, toasted

DIRECTIONS

  1. Beat cream cheese, Worcestershire, lime juice and spices in large bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add cheddar, bell peppers and jalapenos; mix well.
  2. Line a small bowl with plastic wrap, with the plastic extending over the side. Spoon cheese mixture into bowl. Bring edges of plastic together and twist to form a ball shape. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
  3. Place Fisher® Walnuts in small bowl. Unwrap cheese ball; roll in nuts until coated. Transfer to serving platter. Serve with crackers, crostini or veggie dippers.

Tips

To toast walnuts, spread onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake in 350°F oven for 8-10 minutes or until one shade darker in color, stirring occasionally.
For a fresh twist, add 1/3 cup crumbled cooked bacon to cheese mixture.
