Cherry granola is tasty on its own, but Fisher® Whole Almonds add a whole new level of irresistible crunchiness. Try sprinkling this snack on top of some yogurt for a creamy, protein-packed treat. You can also swap out the cherries for dried apples in pears if those are more your fruits of fancy.
For a Fresh Twist: Replace cherries with dried apples & pears.
2 cups old-fashioned oats
3/4 cup coarsely chopped Fisher® Whole Almonds
1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 cup melted butter (1/2 stick)
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup dried cherries
Preheat oven to 300°F.
Mix all ingredients except for cherries in a large bowl; spread on a large baking sheet. Bake 20 min. stirring after 10 min. Add in cherries. Continue to bake until granola is golden brown, about 15 min. Cool. Break into smaller pieces and store in an airtight container.
