Want to make everybody's favorite breakfast even better? Mix some bananas and Fisher® Walnuts into pancake batter and start the morning off right!
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cupFisher® Chef’s Naturals Chopped Walnut
Directions
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, mix together egg, milk, vegetable oil and bananas.
Stir flour mixture into banana mixture; batter should still be slightly lumpy.
Heat a lightly greased pan over medium high heat. Scoop the batter into the pan, approximately ¼ cup for each pancake. Sprinkle a few tablespoons of walnuts on each pancake.
Cook until bubbles begin to appear around the edges of the pancakes; should take about 2 minutes. Flip the pancake and cook until golden brown on the second side about 1½ - 2 minutes longer.
Serve with maple syrup and extra walnuts, if desired.
