Walnut Banana Bread

    This recipe makes one 9 x 5-inch loaf pan or 3 mini pans


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup Fisher® Chopped Walnuts


  1. Cream butter and sugar in an electric mixer. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until blended. Add bananas. Mix in flour mixed with baking powder and cinnamon until just blended. Stir in walnuts.
  2. Spread mixture in a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake 55 to 60 min. at 350°F or until toothpick inserted in center is clean when removed. Let sit for 10 min., loosen edges from pan with a knife, remove from pan and cool on a wire rack.
