Here’s an easy recipe for rich and tasty brownies, studded with pecan halves for extra nuttiness.
Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
6 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 2/3 cup granulated sugar
4 eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cupFisher® Chef’s Naturals Pecan Halves, chopped and divided
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 9 x 13-inch pan with no-stick cooking spray; set aside.
Place butter and chocolate in 1-quart microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH 60 to 90 seconds stirring every 30 seconds until chocolate is melted. Stir in sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix well.
In large bowl, combine flour, ¾ cup chopped pecan halves and salt. Add melted butter mixture to flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
Pour brownie mixture evenly into prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining ½ cup chopped pecan halves over top.
Bake 23 to 25 minutes. Remove to cooling rack; cool completely. Cut into bars to serve.
