2 cupsFisher® Chef’s Naturals Walnut Halves and Pieces
1/4 cup real maple syrup
1/4 cupKaro® syrup
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
Line 13 x 9 inch pan with aluminum foil. Spray with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle evenly with walnuts.
In heavy bottomed saucepan, over medium heat, stir together maple and corn syrups, sugar, butter, water and vanilla until melted and creamy. Continue to gently boil and do not stir until candy thermometer reaches 300°F “hard crack”. Pour cooked sugar over nuts. Cool completely. Break into large pieces and store in an airtight container.
