Creamy Hummus

  • A creamy hummus mix topped with crushed almonds for a tasty snack or a meal.


  • 1 pint Chick Peas
  • 1/4 cup Tahini
  • 1/2 cup Fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Crushed garlic
  • 1 dash Crushed Almonds


  1. Separate chick peas from the water in their can.
  2. Put Chick Peas in food processor and chop them for a minute or so.
  3. Add Tahini, lemon, and garlic to food processor mix.
  4. Continue to food process hummus mixture for two minutes, adding a portion of reserved water from chick pea can every 30 seconds.
  5. If consistency of hummus is too dry, more water may be added.
  6. Process until smooth and creamy.
  7. Top hummus with crushed almonds to serve and eat with almost anything (pita bread, naan, vegetables, etc).
