  • It’s hard to beat a prime cut of filet. But with Fisher® Walnuts and homemade horseradish, we’ve managed to make it even better.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chopped Fisher® Chef’s Naturals Walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh horseradish or prepared white horseradish
  • 1/2 cup panko (Japanese bread crumbs)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 packages 6 oz. Filet Mignon Steaks

Directions

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Combine walnuts, mayonnaise, horseradish, panko, thyme and salt in a small bowl until well blended.
  3. Heat a large oven-proof skillet on high heat until pan is very hot. Sear steaks for 1 minute on top and bottom sides. Reduce heat and cook for an additional 4 minutes on each side. For food safety, cook until internal temperature reaches 145°F on a food thermometer for medium or until desired doneness. Top each steak with ¼ of breading mixture and broil steaks for about 1 minute or until the crust has browned.
  4. Remove from oven and let rest  for 2 minutes before serving.
