I made this for Christmas dinner alongside prime rib in 2012 and will make it again this year. The presentation was beautiful. I used a granny smith apple and dried cranberries instead of raisins. I served it in a large metal holiday bowl and even took a picture. This year I am going to use a different salad dressing than the recipe provided since I do not like sweet dressings. This can be prepared ahead by putting your apple slices in a container of water with lemon juice to prevent browning.

Delicious! The only thing I did not do was prepare the dressing. I used Girard's Raspberry dressing and not only was it colorful, it was very good on the salad. I will definitely fix this recipe again!
