Chocolate Walnut Muffins

  • Start your day off with a little decadence! These crave worthy muffins, with Fisher® Walnuts, will make any morning great.


  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup Fisher® Chef’s Naturals Walnut Halves, divided
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spray insides of muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa, sugar, chocolate chips and walnuts in a large bowl. Combine milk, oil, egg and vanilla in a small bowl. Stir the dry and wet ingredients together until slightly lumpy.
  3. Spoon batter into the prepared muffin pan. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup nuts on top of muffins and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of each muffin comes out clean. Let sit in pan for 5 minutes then turn muffins out onto a rack to cool.
