Pecan Chocolate Squares

  • Chocolate and pecan chips go together in this delectable and decadent dessert. 
  • For a Fresh Twist: Use ⅓ cup each of white, semi-sweet, milk chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup (1 ½ sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Fisher® Pecan Chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
  3. Blend butter and sugar using an electric mixer. Add corn syrup, egg and vanilla; beat until mixture is well blended and smooth. Add flour mixture; do not overmix. Fold in pecans and chocolate.
  4. Spread mixture evenly in ungreased 15½ x 10½ x 1-inch baking pan. Bake 30 min. or until golden brown. Cool; cut into bars.
